The Chinese are coming!

Posted by RMS on January 17, 2008

Get ready America, the world’s global workshop and its domestic car manufacturers are setting their sights for our shores. Representatives from Changfeng Motor, Geely and Zhongxing to name a few were present at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit to announce their intentions as well as show off some of their vehicles. Word is, China Co. wants to bring low cost vehicles to the US by 2009 but expect that time frame to be stretched by a few years. These manufactures will need to ensure product reliability, set up dealer networks and of course be able to meet government mandates for fuel economy, tailpipe emissions and occupant safety.
